The student attends one day of live class presentations and has three months in which to complete the remainder of the program and to write the Proctored, closed book exam. Students taking longer than three months to complete the course may pay an extension fee of $150 plus GST to extend the period a further three months.

The Proctor. Once the student is ready to write the exam they identify someone who is willing to act as their Proctor during the exam. The Proctor is any person who is not an immediate family member or work subordinate and who will understand and respect the exam process. The student obtains the name, address and telephone number of their Proctor and forwards these details to herb@canadacsa.com at least two weeks prior to the date they have arranged to write their exam.

The Exam package is forwarded, together with instructions direct to the Proctor. The exam is 130 – 150 multiple choice questions. The student has 3 hours in which to complete the exam and hand it to the Proctor to be sealed in the return addressed envelope which is forwarded to the Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors for marking by an independent marker. Students must score 75% or higher to pass the exam and obtain their CSA designation.
