Not only will CSA’s receive ongoing education about the unique needs of Canada’s aging population, Canadian CSA’s access the best information through participation in the world’s largest membership organization educating people about aging.  CSA’s have access to:

  • Exclusive CSA designation – The CSA mark, logo and designation may be used on your business card, signature line and correspondence, proudly displaying your commitment to Canada’s fastest growing and most valued segment of our population.
     
  • Referrals To You– To help promote you to the Canadian public, your CSA business contact information can be searched on the “Find a CSA Near You” option on the public website at www.canadacsa.com
     
  • Weekly Member Service E-mails – Members will receive weekly emails to support your business, service, and educational needs. These weekly blasts alternate content in the following areas:
  1. Business Matters - Access to business book summaries of the latest and best selling books in the areas of business and personal development. You will receive a link to 4 new summaries each month, in addition to the ability to access over 500 archived summaries.
  2. Client Matters – Interesting and informative short articles prepared for you to use in your own client newsletters and communications
  3. Education Matters – Access to members refresher courses, on-going Webinars, and information on topical issues to support your education and compliance needs
  4. Members Matter – Marketing tips, resource tips, and information about what is happening at the Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors
  • Dialogues with Dr. John – These weekly conference calls are open to both students and members. Our VP Education, Dr. John Crawford is available every Thursday morning to assist CSA’s apply the materials to their business or personal life
     
  • Marketing Tool Kit – CASA is designing a tool kit with a step-by-step checklist to supplement the CSA course materials and illustrate how to use this knowledge in your business to help you brand your identity as offering an ‘Age-Friendly Business’
     
  • Networking Events– Networking opportunities are held in conjunction with the Fast Start Classes and offered across Canada. These popular events bring together CSA members to share ideas and learn what other CSA’s are doing to successfully use the materials and support in their personal and professional lives
     
  • Public Recognition of the CSA Designation – CASA is dedicated to promoting the CSA brand with the public. CASA has invited CSA’s throughout the country to act as Ambassadors to promote the value of the CSA designation to the general public and to encourage boomers and seniors to work with a CSA who has earned the highest standards of professionalism and ethics
     
  • Exclusive Members-Only Website – CSA’s have access to a robust and expanding website designed to assist CSA’s apply the information they learned in the course materials
     
  • Resource Library - In the members-only section of the website, CSA’s may find an extensive and growing Resource Library. Here members can access links and resources to topics like: Seniors Housing, Caregivers and Care-giving,End of Life Planning, Financial & Estate Planning, Seniors Health, Nutrition & Fitness
     
  • Free Articles – In addition to the ‘Client Matters’ articles sent out monthly in the email member blasts, CSA’s also have access to additional archived articles, content, online and archived print publications to support your client communication needs
     
  • Professional Article Service - The CSA Professional Article Service is offered exclusively to CSA’s and allows CSA’s to purchase single articles or articles in groups of 3 – 12. These articles cover health, social and financial aspects of aging. These can be used many times in a variety of publications such as local newspapers and electronic and print magazines to help position you more strategically in the communities you serve
     
  • CE Credits – Our Continuing Education program ensures the continued credibility and dedication of all CSA associates

  • Dedicated CASA staff – In addition to staff members dedicated to member support and services, the entire team at CASA is always available by phone or email to assist with questions and resources that will ensure continued success with marketing to seniors and boomers

 

Membership dues:

Included in your Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) course tuition is a one year complimentary membership in the Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors (CASA).  Thereafter, annual membership renewal dues are $195 plus GST.  Renewal fees go toward the ongoing development of member support services, as well as funding the independent Board of Standards (see CSA Code and Disciplinary Actions section of this website).

Each membership renewal is for a period of 12 months. Dues are payable in advance of the membership renewal date which can be viewed at any time on the member-only section of the official CSA website www.canadacsa.com.  Current dues can be paid through lump sum or monthly on-line payments for ease and convenience.

Participate in our Referral Credit Program and continue to get your membership for free!    If someone who has registered for a CSA course has named you as the person who referred them, you will receive 1 credit. Referral credits can be banked and used during any year for membership renewal. 1 referral credit is equal to $100 off your renewal, so refer 2 persons each year, and you will never have to pay any renewal fee!  It is in your best interest to spread the word regarding the benefits of taking the CSA course!
